Rudolph takes in Irish scrimmage

IrishIllustrated.com Kyle Rudolph ended the recruiting process last week when he verbally committed to Notre Dame. On Friday, the 6-foot-7, 220-pound tight end from Cincinnati, Ohio visited South Bend to check out a couple Irish spring practices.
"It was real cool," said Rudolph about watching the Irish run through a scrimmage. "They ran 80 plays on Friday and I got to watch that on the field. I was able to listen in on the play calls."
Observing Notre Dame up close gave Rudolph a glimpse of his future playing Division I college football.
"It was definitely like a foreign language," he said about the Irish play calls. "The game was faster and they definitely have a lot more plays (than in high school)."
