Rudolph makes his case
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Kyle Rudolph ended the recruiting process when he verbally committed to Notre Dame in March, but the 6-foot-6, 229-pound tight end from Cincinnati, Ohio wasn't done showing college coaches and many of the Midwest's top prospects what he could do on the field.
Rudolph was one of 300 players to take part in the NIKE Camp at Purdue on Saturday.
"I just wanted to come out here and run around," said Rudolph about his reasons for participating in the camp. "That and the SPARQ drills; that was my main reason for coming here, for the speed and acceleration."
Rudolph did more than just run around. He demonstrated that he was among the nation's elite at his position by catching everything thrown his way including several balls thrown above his head that forced him to show off his leaping ability developed from years on the AAU basketball circuit.
