The Washington State University soccer team kept the pedal to the metal in Oregon this weekend as they came into the state on Friday and left on Sunday with two wins and no goals allowed in either match. After disposing of the Beavers on Friday, Wazzu kept Oregon winless in the Pac-10 with a 2-0 victory over the Ducks in Eugene. With the win, the Cougars improve to 13-4-1 overall and hold on to third place at 5-1-1 in conference play - setting up a potential Pac-10 showdown for second place with UCLA Bruins at Cougarland Field in Pullman on Sunday.

Wazzu scored all the goals they would need for the victory in the first half when sophomore Ali Fenter scored for the Cougars to put them up 1-0 late in the half and then, a mere 1:27 later, senior Carly Dobratz finished the Ducks off with the second goal of the match.

Wazzu's defense allowed Oregon 10 shots in the match, but none went past junior goalkeeper Meghan Berlingo and the Cougar defense shut out the Ducks in the second half to prevent any comeback attempts.

With the win, head coach Matt Potter remains undefeated against Oregon in his Cougar career at 4-0-3 overall.
