Arizona In women's soccer, the Wildcats were swept by California and Stanford to drop to 4-13-1 overall and 1-6 in conference play. Washington In women's cross country, Washington captured the Pac-10 title. Oregon In football, freshman running back LaMichael James was named as the conference's offensive player of the week. UCLA In volleyball, senior outside hitter Kaitlin Sather was named as the conference's player of the week. California In women's soccer, redshirt junior forward Lisa Kevorkian was named as the conference's player of the week. Oregon State In football, senior quarterback Lyle Moevao is out for the season after suffering a foot injury in practice and head coach Mike Riley has indicated he will pursue a medical hardship waiver for a potential sixth year of eligibility. Arizona State In women's swimming, the Sun Devils will host UNLV and Wazzu in their season home opener. Stanford In men's cross country, Stanford captured the Pac-10 title. WSU In soccer, 13th-ranked [RPI] Wazzu skunked both Oregon State and Pac-10 winless Oregonto move to 13-4-1 overall and 5-1-1 in conference play. The Cougars also received verbal commitments for 2010 from goalkeeper Gurveen Clair and defender Nicole Ambrose from the Vancouver Whitecaps. In volleyball, 38th-ranked [RPI] Wazzu was swept by Arizona State and Arizona to drop to 5-6 in conference play and 16-6 overall on the year. In football, the Cougars lost to Notre Dame to fall to 1-7 overall and remain winless in conference play at 0-5. In women's hoop, Wazzu defeated defeated Lewis-Clark State in the season's exhibition opener.
