Texas' top defensive commit reacts
The news came out on a seemingly quiet Saturday evening. Texas fans had been wondering who their next offensive coordinator would be after the postseason resignation of Greg Davis. However, they never expected to lose defensive coordinator and head coach in waiting Will Muschamp. It happened quickly, though, with Florida announcing he was the Gators new head coach before anybody knew what was happening.
Though Texas fans were caught incredibly off guard by the news, perhaps the most stunned were the Longhorns current commitments. The defensive players were especially affected by the day's event. The cornerstone of the class is Daingerfield, Texas linebacker Steve Edmond. The nation's No. 20 overall prospect was disappointed by the surprise development.
