Bennett: 'That's the kind of coach I want to play for'







Zach Yenser wanted Kamryn Bennett in April.



And in May.



June, July, August, September, and October too.



Cal's offensive line coach has been after the Centennial High (Peoria, Ariz.) guard for close to nine months now, but it wasn't until last week that he finally got a 'yay' from offensive coordinator Tony Franklin on an offer.



His highlights from last season were underwelming.



His highlights from this were good but not great.



Which's why Yenser asked the 6'3", 275-pounder to send full game film for all nine this season -- then gave them to Franklin and waited for him to see what he had for more than three quarters of a year.



"After I sent him my full game film, a week later I got the offer," Bennett told GoldenBearReport on Monday.



Four days later, Bennett committed to the Bears, becoming the second offensive lineman to join the 2014 class along with La Mirada's Michael Trani and also the second Arizonan joining Saguaro's Luke Rubenzer.



Bennett said that in the end, his commitment to Cal came down to Yenser's commitment to him.
