4-star DE has cross-country visitor
Dominique Easley is one of the most coveted defensive end recruits in the nation. With double-digit offers from top BCS programs from across the country and a #12 ranking by Rivals among all strongside defensive ends, Easley can essentially take his pick of where to play. Duck Sports Authority caught up with one of New York's finest for a quick recruiting update.
Last month when Duck Sports Authority caught up with Staten Island, New York star Easley, he was just in the initial stages of learning about the Ducks, telling DSA "I know Oregon plays in the Pac-10. I know their facilities are great. I have heard about their defensive line. I am interested in Oregon."
Since that time the Ducks have made further contacts with Easley, with Oregon's defensive line coach making the cross-country trip to see the defensive end in person.
"Coach Azzinaro came up to watch me at spring practices," Easley updated DSA. "I didn't get a chance to talk to him. He did talk to my coach. He said I looked good and was very impressed. I haven't contacted Oregon since they were there, because I was visiting my dad in South Carolina. I plan on calling them soon and talking to them."
With a written offer from the Ducks in hand, Easley expressed that he was continuing to watch one of the Pac-10's top teams.
