On Wednesday Florida landed an early Christmas present when 2014 Rivals250 Watch List quarterback Will Grier chose to give his verbal commitment to the Gators. Upon committing, Grier stated that his intention is to start doing some recruiting of his own, naming two Rivals100 wide outs - Marquez North and Demarcus Robinson - in particular.

If early reaction is any indication, Grier's sales pitch will fall on receptive ears.

Inside the Gators spoke to several current Florida commits and targets on how UF landing the premier gunslinger will impact them going forward.

Jacksonville (Fla.) Bishop Kenny Rivals100 wide receiver Ahmad Fulwood, who has been very active on the recruiting trail himself, said that he sees Grier as a huge part of Florida's future.

"The kid is a baller," said Fulwood of Grier. "I'm glad to have him committed to us because he can dish the rock. To have something like over 800 yards [passing] in a game is pretty tremendous. I have only seen game film on him, but you can tell his team has leaned on him to make play after play which he always does."

Fulwood will join his future quarterback in Texas during the Army All-American game.

Fellow 2014 commit, Ryeshene Bronson is also incredibly excited to have such a premier passer verbally committed to the same school. While Bronson said he hasn't spoken to Grier, he is looking forward to getting to know him in the near future.

"I want to make it so we have good chemistry," said Bronson. "I have watched him online and he can run and throw and has good height. It doesn't get much better than that."

With three prospects who are rated four-stars already in the fold for the Class of 2014 to go along with what looks to be a top five class this recruiting cycle, Bronson is already making a bold prediction.

"For all the Gator fans out there tell them in 2014 Florida is going to be the national champions again. The coaches know what they are doing and it shows."

The 2014 wide receiver crop instate is as strong as it has been in years. Along with Bronson there's prospects such as West Palm Beach (Fla.) Dwyer wide out Johnnie Dixon and Tarpon Spring (Fla.) East Lake standout Artavis Scott.

Both are watching what Florida is doing at the quarterback position from afar.

"I don't know a lot about him other than his big 800 yard game," said Dixon of Grier. "A school that already has a quarterback will big be because I can start a connection early. I don't know how much it helps Florida right now, but his stats are crazy."

Scott commented via text that Florida landing Grier will help their cause in his book.
