Anderson Cruises Through Prelims

First, there was the glory of capturing the NCAA title in a school-record 48.69 seconds, then there was the disappointment of not making the finals at the U.S. Olympic Trials – but both were valuable experiences for Wazzu hurdling sensation Jeshua Anderson.
It is experience he is putting to immediate use when he traveled to the World Junior Track and Field Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland, and Anderson has established his presence on the first day – running the fastest time in the men's 400-meter hurdle qualifying heats. Anderson cruised around the track in a 51.12 to gather the best time going into the semifinals tomorrow.
