Anderson Out With Hernia

Wazzu hurdling sensation and football wide receiver Jeshua Anderson may be out for one month after suffering a hernia. Anderson is scheduled to undergo surgery next week, at which time his prognosis will be clearer.
Anderson, who was projected as a possible starter in the new Cougar offensive scheme, finished off a hectic spring and summer in track and field by setting a new school record and winning 400-meter hurdling titles in the Pac-10, NCAA, USA and World Junior Championships while also finishing ninth at the U.S. Olympic Trials.

Because of his prowess on the track, Anderson missed all of the spring practice sessions and was set to re-join the team this month.
