Breaking down WSUs 2015 spring roster

Spring football on the Palouse gets underway tomorrow afternoon and in
advance of the Cougars' first practice, the spring roster was released,
which had some notable omissions, including a key defensive back.
LaRue, others no longer on roster
Cornerback Sebastian LaRue, a Texas A&M transfer, has been
dismissed from the program for a violation of team rules, Washington
State head coach Mike Leach announced during a teleconference Wednesday
LaRue, who sat out last season due to NCAA transfer rules, was expected
to compete for a starting spot at in a wide open cornerback race this
offseason. The former four-star prospect, who signed with TAMU as a
receiver, transferred to Washington State last January and made the
move over to defense during spring football. He played well at
cornerback during the Cougars' spring game last April.
Leach also confirmed that two punters - Wes Concepcion and Jordan
Dascalo - are no longer with the program. Dasacalo, a walk-on out of
Woodland Hills, Calif., played well for the Cougars as a true freshman
in 2014. He punted 49 times with an average of 41.6 yards per punt.
Concepcion, another walk-on, didn't play last season, however he saw
action as a redshirt sophomore in 2013, punting 12 times for an average
of 36.2 yards per punt.
Other non-seniors or NFL Draft prospects no longer listed on the
Washington State spring roster include: RFr. DB Kamel Greene, RFr. DB Kahshan Greene, RFr. LB Nathan Hundeby, RSo. DL
Sherman Hutcherson and Fr. DB C.J. Lane.
The list above does not include players that were previously reported
as having left or been dismissed from the program, including CB Daquawn
Brown, WR Drew Loftus, CB Kevin Griffin and others.
