CougZone Athlete Of The Year Finalist - Jeshua Anderson

In theory, it was a tough act to follow. Men's sophomore hurdling sensation Jeshua Anderson was the NCAA champion last year in the men's 400-meter hurdles and although he was the favorite to win it again, there are no guarantees at the NCAA championships. But Anderson went out and not only did it again, but did it in the school record time of 48.47 – breaking his own school record from last year's NCAA championships run.
Anderson is the two-time Pac-10 champion as well after easily winning the conference crown last month and he helped Wazzu to their second consecutive win over the Huskies in the Apple Cup track meet.

Additionally, Anderson was twice named as the conference's athlete of the week.
For all the aforementioned reasons, CougZone voters have made Anderson one of our three finalists for CougZone Athlete of the Year.
