Eagles Get Enquisted

The Washington State University men's hoop team clobbered the Eastern Washington University Eagles, 75-49 at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman. Wazzu was led by a double-double from Charlie Enquist and with the win, Wazzu improves to 4-4 overall on the year.
Wazzu was missing four players from their roster - Faisal Aden [concussion], D. J. Shelton [team rule violation], Mychal Ladd [thumb] and Abe Lodwick [foot stress fracture] - and played sloppy for much of the first half as Eastern Washington held a slim 14-13 lead with 7:32 remaining in the half. But then Wazzu took over and embarked on a 28-11 run to take a 41-25 advantage going into the locker room at halftime.

The second half was all Wazzu as the Eagles clawed to within 11 points but the Cougars gradually pulled away midway through the second half and were never threatened after that.
Four Cougars were in double figures in scoring, led by Enquist with 20 points and followed by point guard Reggie Moore with 15 points, Brock Motum with 15 and Dexter Kernich-Drew with 10. Enquist also led the Cougars with 13 rebounds.
NOTES:
- It was a career high in both points and rebounds for Enquist.
- Wazzu out-rebounded the Eagles, 49-35, in the game.
