Lamb Takes Fifth At NCAA Champs

Matt Lamb was the final athletic competitor for Washington State University in the 2008-09 athletic year and the final competitor for the Wazzu track and field team and the junior claimed fifth place at the NCAA Track & Field Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Lamb tossed the metal Frisbee 58.01 meters [190-4] in the final.
Lamb, who was injured last year, has now made three appearances in the NCAA championships and they have all been point-scoring appearances as he finished sixth in 2007 and third in 2006.

Lamb's four points for fifth place, combined with the 10 points from sophomore men's 400-meter hurdler Jeshua Anderson's school-record-breaking repeat as NCAA champion last night, gives the Cougars 14 points total and a tie with Nebraska for 17th place in the overall standings.
