In men's hoop, freshman center Kevin Love, sophomore guard Russell Westbrook and junior forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute have all elected to make themselves available for the NBA Draft – although Mbah a Moute has indicated he will not retain an agent.

In women's hoop, the Bruins hired Tennessee assistant coach Nikki Caldwell as their new head coach.

In volleyball, South Dakota State head coach Andrew Palileo was hired as the new head coach.

In rowing, 5th-ranked Wazzu defeated Stanford at the Stanford Invitational.

In baseball, the Cougars lost the series to Arizona to fall to 19-18 overall and 3-9 in conference play with a 26 RPI.

In tennis, 37th-ranked Wazzu defeated rival Washington to improve to 16-9 overall and 2-6 in the Pac-10.

In track and field, freshman javelin tosser Marissa Tschida was named as the Pac-10's outdoor track athlete of the week.

Stanford

In track and field, junior distance runner Hari Mix was named as the conference's men's track athlete of the week.

Washington

In women's hoop, freshmen center Kali Bennett has left the team.

USC

In track and field, junior javelin tosser Corey White was named as the conference's men's field athlete of the week while freshman distance runner Zsofia Erdelyi was named as the women's track athlete of the week in the Pac-10.

California

In men's hoop, the Bears released guard Garrett Sim from his verbal commitment and former Oregon State head coach Jay John was hired as an assistant coach won the NCAA West Regional to advance to next week's national championships.

Arizona

In track & field, the Wildcats signed seven athletes to letters of intent, including distance ace Hannah Moen.
