Championship season is upon the Creek and the USC men's tennis team added another national title to the conference's bin while four Pac-10 teams compete for the NCAA women's golf championship and seven more will compete for the men's golf title next week. In addition, all six Pac-10 softball teams remain alive in the NCAA's Super Regional round while Oregon swept both the men's and women's Pac-10 track & field titles.
Meanwhile, at NCAA HQ, Oregon was one of two recipients of the inaugural National SAAC Award of Excellence, which is the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's recognition of community service.
Stanford
In women's tennis, Stanford lost to Baylor in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament.
WSU
In track and field, sophomore Jeshua Anderson, junior Trent Arrivey and senior Lorraine King all won Pac-10 individual titles at the Pac-10 championships.
In baseball, Wazzu defeated Oregon State and lost to Gonzaga to move to 16-8 in conference play and 28-23 overall on the year and redshirt senior Jared Prince was named as the conference's player of the week.
In women's hoop, Wazzu received a verbal commitment from 6-2 forward Hana Potter for the 2010 season.
In men's golf, junior Kevin Tucker finished in a tie for 62nd at the NCAA Men's Golf Championship.
In soccer, Wazzu received verbal commitments from forward Micaela Castain and midfielder Morgan Castain.
Arizona
In softball, the Wildcats defeated Tennessee-Martin in the first round and Louisville in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
USC
In men's hoop, USC head coach Tim Floyd is accused of paying former player OJ Mayo.
Oregon
In men's hoop, the Ducks received a verbal commitment from JC point guard Malcolm Armstead.
In football, receiver Aaron Pflugrad has transferred.
In women's hoop, freshman guard Darriel Gaynor has left the team and Janell Bergstrom has been hired as director of basketball operations.
UCLA
In football, running back Aundre Dean will transfer.
Washington
In football, Washington received a verbal commitment from receiver Tevin Carter.
California
In women's tennis, the Bears advanced to the final in the NCAA championship tournament but lost to Duke in the title match.

In women's rowing, the Beavers were invited to the NCAA Championships.

In baseball, the Sun Devils clinched the Pac-10 baseball title and junior Mike Leake was named as the conference's pitcher of the week.
