In men's hoop, guard Jerryd Bayless is reported to be wavering on his verbal commitment to Arizona.
Two Cougar heptahtletes - Julie and Diana Pickler will try for national titles at the NCAA Track and Field Championships beginning today in Sacramento. The Pickler sisters are ranked 4th and 5th, respectively, in their event.
The Bears won the varsity eight national title in men's rowing for the 15th time in school history with their two-second victory over Princeton.
Oregon State
In NCAA softball playoffs, Oregon State lost to fellow conference members Arizona and Arizona State at the Women's College World Series and were eliminated.
The Beavers defeated Wright State, Kansas and Hawai'i in the NCAA regional in baseball and advanced to the super regional where they will get a rematch against fellow conference member Stanford.
The Civil War – Oregon's rivalry against Oregon State – was moved to Friday, November 24 to accommodate live television coverage by Fox Sports.
The Bruins advanced to the Women's College World Series in softball, where they defeated Alabama and Texas but lost to Tennessee and were eliminated by Northwestern.
UCLA defeated UC-Irvine in their NCAA baseball regional but lost to Pepperdine and was eliminated by Missouri.
