Pac-Tending 07-26-06

"We wanted to avoid the situation, if possible, of Spokane having to host three years in a row."

It is a new week at the Creek and that means it was time to implement a set of guidelines for cheerleading in the Pac-10. Among new safety guidelines, Pac-10 cheer squads will no longer be able to perform 2.5-person or more human pyramids, basket tosses or one-armed supports.
Meanwhile at NCAA HQ, the NCAA decided they did not want Spokane hosting three consecutive years of basketball championships and switched the 2009 men's first and second round games to Boise. Spokane will host the men's tournament in 2007, the women's tournament in 2008 and the men's again in 2010.
