The 2009-10 championship season is officially underway at the Creek and the conference is again showing its strength in women's volleyball as nine teams are represented in the national poll.

In women's soccer, Oregon State won their fifth match in a row with a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Loyola Marymount to improve to 5-1 overall on the year.
Arizona State
In women's volleyball, the Sun Devils defeated Montana to improve to 7-2 overall on the year.
In volleyball, 35th-ranked Wazzu remained undefeated with victories over Cal State-Northridge and Gonzaga to begin the season at 11-0 overall.
In soccer, 40th-ranked Wazzu defeated BYU to improve to 4-2 overall on the year and the Cougars received a 2011 verbal commitment from Las Vegas forward Bethanie Skelton.
In football, the Cougars lost to Hawai'i to remain winless on the year at 0-2 overall.
In women's hoop, Wazzu received a verbal commitment from guard Sage Romberg.
In men's soccer, junior forward Andrew Wiedeman was named as the conference's player of the week.
