- Oregon senior cross country runner Galen Rupp who won the men's event and helped the Ducks take their third consecutive team title at the Pac-10 Championships last week.

The championship run for the Creek continues for the Pac-10 as teams still sit at or near the top of national polls in football [USC #7], soccer [UCLA #2] and volleyball [Stanford #2].

The conference championship in cross country were held and Oregon took the men's title while Washington took the women's crown.

Meanwhile, at NCAA HQ, the NCAA is considering bringing back the television ban for institutions committing major infractions and the Division Board of Directors adopted legislation that would prevent schools from using a two-hour skill instruction as an early Midnight Madness-style event as some schools did this year and will continue to pursue and idea of a lifetime APR for head coaches that would follow them from job to job and be publicly available.

Oregon

In volleyball, junior middle blocker Neticia Enesi was named as the conference's player of the week.

Arizona

In men's hoop, freshman center Jeff Withey will transfer.

In football, the Wildcats received a verbal commitment from defensive back Ryan Milus.

Arizona State

In volleyball, the Sun Devils defeated rival Arizona to improve to 12-11 overall and 3-7 in conference play.

USC

In track and field, Trojan sprinter Bryshon Nellum was shot in the legs in a drive-by shooting last week and will take three months to recover.

In football, safety Kevin Ellison suffered a knee injury and will be out for two weeks and kicker David Buehler was named as the conference's special teams player of the week.

WSU

In soccer, 24th-ranked Wazzu tied rival Washington but lost to Oregon State to move to 8-5-5 overall and 2-3-2 in the Pac-10.

In volleyball, the Cougars were swept by California and Stanford to drop to 0-11 in conference play and 7-15 overall on the year.

In football, the Cougars lost to Stanford, 58-0, to fall to 1-8 overall and 0-6 in conference play. Senior defensive lineman Mike Graise was kicked off the team.

In women's hoop, Wazzu defeated Showtime Basketball, 101-64.

Oregon State

In football, freshman running back Jacquizz Rodgers was named as the conference's offensive player of the week.

Washington

In men's hoop, guard Abdul Gaddy de-committed from Arizona and gave a verbal commitment to Washington.

California

In football, senior linebacker Pat Follett was named as the conference's defensive player of the week.

Stanford

In volleyball, the second-ranked Cardinal swept the Washington schools to improve to 19-3 overall and 10-1 in conference play.

UCLA

In men's hoop, the Bruins defeated California Baptist, 86-58, in an exhibition game.
