Stanford Ekes By Cougars At Cougarland

The Washington State University soccer team held top-ranked Stanford scoreless for 85 minutes but the Cardinal netted a header from Lindsay Taylor with just under five minutes remaining in the match to steal a 1-0 victory from the Cougars at Cougarland Field in Pullman. With the loss, the Cougars drop to 7-4-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
Stanford dominated play, as expected, but Wazzu got off a flurry of four unanswered shots midway through the first half - but the Cougars were unable to put any of them in the net and the two teams went into the halftime break knotted up at 0-0.
