Washington State is off to a 2-0 start, and Saturday the Cougars locked up a significant victory by taking down Wisconsin for a second consecutive season. In the crowd at Martin Stadium for that victory was three-star cornerback Kenny Worthy III, who used the weekend as an opportunity for his official visit with the Cougars.

By Wednesday, the 6-foot prospect from Peoria, Arizona (Centennial High School) had announced his commitment to play for Jake Dickert's program.

Worthy visited several programs throughout his recruitment including UCLA, Boston College, Boise State, UNLV and nearby Arizona State. He took an official visit to Nevada in June as well.

Iowa State and Utah State also offered him earlier in the process.

Ultimately, the experience in Pullman sold him on Wazzu, and now he is the 14th commitment for the program in the 2024 class.

Worthy is now the fourth defensive back and the second cornerback to join the team's 2024 class alongside Tyson Weaver, Dajon Doss and Jaylon Edmond.

Cornerbacks coach Ray Brown led the process for the Cougars giving him another impressive addition for the group heading into next season.

The newest WSU commit put together an impressive junior season as he finished 2022 with 29 tackles, 6 interceptions, 10 passes defensed and a fumble recovery.
