Wazzu Busts Up Broncos

The Washington State University men's hoop team never trailed and went coast to coast for an easy 93-55 victory over the Santa Clara University Broncos at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman. With the win, Wazzu improves to 6-4 overall on the year.

The game was never in doubt as Wazzu put away the Broncos early, scoring the game's first six points and then grabbing their first double digit lead at 13-3 less than four minutes into the contest. Santa Clara briefly put up a struggle to close the gap back to three at 15-12 three minutes later - but that would be all she wrote for the Broncos. From there, Wazzu opened up the scoring faucets and took just under two minutes to get the lead back up to 10, then five more to get it to 16, before finally settling in for a 48-27 advantage going into the locker room at halftime.

The second half continued to be a Wazzu scoring barrage as the Broncos were pelted by shot after shot from the Cougars as Wazzu built up a 25, then 30 and finally a 35-point lead before scoring their last points in the game as they cruised in for the victory.

Three Cougars were in double figures in scoring, led by Brock Motum with 27 and followed by Charlie Enquist with 18 and point guard Reggie Moore with 16. Enquist led the Cougars with 10 rebounds.
