Wazzu Rides Waves Outta Town

The Washington State University men's hoop team made it six in a row with their 67-56 victory over the Pepperdine University Waves in Seattle before a crowd of nearly 10,000. With the win, Wazzu improves to 8-4 overall on the season.
Pepperdine led the game early, 5-3, but Wazzu jumped on the Waves with a massive 18-2 run culminated by a jumper fromm Faisal Aden for a commanding 21-7 lead with 5:39 left in the first half that essentially put the game away. Pepperdine closed the gap slightly but Wazzu still led 26-15 going into the locker room at halftime.

Wazzu was never threatened in the second half as the Cougars built their advantage out to as much as 23 points at one point before cruising in for the comfortable victory.
Three Cougars were in double figures in scoring, led by Aden with 17 points and followed by 15 points from DaVonte Lacy and Brock Motum with 11 points.
NOTES
- Wazzu outrebounded Pepperdine, 40-38, for the game.
- Wazzu remains undefeated at 7-0 in games in Seattle.
