The Washington State University volleyball team got their first Pac-12 victory last week and that felt so good that they decided to do it again by sweeping the Oregon State Beavers, 3-0 at Bohler Gym in Pullman. With the victory, Wazzu improves to10-5 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
Wazzu broke open a tight first set with a late run to blow out the Beavers 25-16. The second set began tight and remained tight throughout until Wazzu prevailed in the end, 25-23.
The third and final set was a comfortable victory for Wazzu as the Cougars took an early slim lead they never relinquished en route to a 25-18 win.

Wazzu senior Meagan Ganzer resumed her killing spree after a brief hiatus against Arizona last week and torched 18 killers while junior Rachel Todorovich joined her in double figures with 10 kills of her own.
- Sophomore setter Camryn Irwin recorded 34 assists in the match.
- Wazzu played a rotation of only seven athletes in the match.
Wazzu continues their 2011 season with a match against Oregon at 7PM on Saturday, October 1 at Bohler Gym in Pullman.
