Wazzu Wallops Wolves

The Washington State University men's hoop team, as expected, made it five straight in their winning streak as Wazzu rolled to a mundane 66-42 victory the NCAA Division II Wolves of Western Oregon University at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman. With the win, Wazzu improves to 7-4 overall on the year.

The game was never in doubt as Wazzu never trailed but allowed the Wolves to hang around for the first half only taking a 28-25 advantage going into the locker room at halftime.

The second half contained a 20-5 scoring run as Wazzu finally tok control of the game and put it away as they cruised in for the victory.

No Cougars were in double figures in scoring, as Wazzu was led by Marcus Capers with nine points. Charlie Enquist and 18 and D.J. Shelton each brought down six rebounds.

NOTES:

- Wazzu is currently undefeated in the month of December.

- Wazzu out-rebounded the Broncos, 39-30, in the game.
