Weaver Earns Post-Season Accolades

The college hoop season may be over for the Wazzu men's hoop team, but the recognition for their accomplishments are just beginning with the first of the post-season honors going to senior guard Kyle Weaver as he was named as an Honorable Mention All-American by CollegeHoops.net.

This year, Weaver led the Cougars in steals [60] and was the second-leading scorer [12.2 points per game], rebounder [184] and assist-maker [151] and is believed to be the only Pac-10 men's hoop athlete in conference history to record over 1000 points, 500 rebounds, 450 assists, 175 steals and 75 blocked shots in a career.

Weaver helped lead the Cougars to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and first-ever appearance in the Sweet 16, where they fell to top-seeded North Carolina and finished the year at 26-9 overall.
