Washington State will also host 'home' games in the Tri-Cities and Spokane once again this season, hosting San Francisco State at Kennewick's Toyota Center and either Utah or Colorado at Spokane Arena to open up the 2013-14 Pac-12 home season. With eight years under its belt, the annual Cougar Hardwood Classic in Seattle will not be played this season due to scheduling conflicts with KeyArena. The game is expected to return in the future.
The Cougars open up the season with two-straight home games, hosting CSU Bakersfield (Friday, Nov. 8) and Lamar (Saturday, Nov. 16). The Cougars then face rival, Gonzaga, in Spokane, Thursday, Nov. 21, before returning to Pullman to host Big 12-member TCU, Sunday, Nov. 24.
WSU will open the Old Spice Classic at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando, Fla., against Big East member Butler, Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28, with its next two opponents (Friday, Nov. 29 and Sunday, Dec. 1) yet to be determined.
After returning home from Florida, the Cougars will cross the border to take on Idaho, Saturday, Dec. 7 in Moscow. WSU will have three more games before Christmas as it hosts Pepperdine (Sunday, Dec. 15) and UTEP (Saturday, Dec. 21) in Pullman and hosts San Francisco State in between those two games at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, Wash. (Wednesday, Dec. 18). Washington State will host Mississippi Valley State in its final tune-up before the Pac-12 season, Saturday, Dec. 28 in Pullman.
The Cougars will open up their Pac-12 season on the road, taking on Arizona State and Arizona, the week of Jan. 1-5, in the only meeting with the Arizona schools during the Pac-12 season. During the week of Jan. 8-12 WSU will open its Pac-12 home slate at Spokane Arena against Utah or Colorado before returning home to host the other before classes resume in Pullman, Jan. 13.
Washington State travels to the Bay Area, Jan. 15-20, to take on Stanford and California, before returning home to host Oregon State and Oregon, Jan. 22-26. The Cougars get their third-straight home game as they host Washington, Jan. 29-Feb. 2.
The Cougars' second half of the Pac-12 schedule includes trips to Colorado and Utah (Feb. 5-9), a homestand with California and Stanford (Feb. 12-17), games at Oregon, Oregon State (Feb. 19-23) and Washington (Feb. 26-March 2) and their only meeting with the Los Angeles schools, home games against UCLA and USC (March 4-8).
