Washington State hosted a group of visitors over the weekend, and Tuesday the Cougars added their latest piece in the 2025 class as defensive back Aiden Knapke announced his commitment to Jake Dickert's program following a trip to Pullman.

The 6-foot, 190-pound recruit from Cherry Creek High School near Denver is the fifth prospect to give the Cougars his commitment in the cycle and second in as many days following a pledge from California defensive end Lucan Amituanai.

Knapke picked up offers from several programs throughout his recruitment including Duke, Georgia Tech, San Diego State, Army, Cornell, Wyoming and many others.

In all, 17 schools jumped into the mix with an offer before the rising senior made the call in favor of WSU on Tuesday.

Knapke's commitment continues a connection with Colorado for the Cougs, and the new member of the class was able to spend time with fellow Centennial State natives Brandon Hills (Colorado Springs) and Tai Fa'avae (Fountain) while in Pullman.

WSU is now up to five commitments in the class following Knapke's announcement, and four of those recruits will come in as members of the defense.

Knapke has been highly productive at the high school level as he is credited by MaxPreps as having 200 tackles over his first three seasons including a career-best 104 tackles in 2023. The new WSU commit had 61 solo tackles as a junior and averaged 7.4 tackles per game.

He also contributed with two tackles for loss last year. Just as impressive as his tackling numbers has been Knapke's ability to take away the ball in the secondary. He has pulled in at least four interceptions in each of the last three seasons.
