Washington State is in the early stages of building out its 2025 recruiting class, and Monday night the the Cougars added their latest piece. Camas High School edge rusher Luke Webb is now the third member of the WSU recruiting class after announcing his commitment to play for Jake Dickert.
The Huntington Beach, California native made the move to Camas in the winter and will close out his high school career at the school. Now, he will get the opportunity to stick around for at least a few more years as a member of the Wazzu defense.
Nevada, Montana, Montana State, UNLV and Northern Arizona all offered Webb before he came to his decision to give his pledge to WSU.
Webb visited Washington State multiple times prior to reaching his decision, and he already has an official visit set up with the Cougs for next month.
The 6-foot-2, 230-pound commit proved to be a versatile player at JSerra Catholic over the last two seasons. While at JSerra, which is located in San Juan Capistrano, California and is part of the talented Trinity League, Webb collected 90 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and 8 sacks across his sophomore and junior seasons.
He has also played multiple positions on both sides of the ball as a high school standout with time spent at tight end, running back and linebacker. He will join WSU as an edge rusher.
Webb is the third commitment in the class for the Cougars joining in-state defensive lineman Malijah Tucker and tight end Austin Simmons who both committed to WSU last month.
